Branch Activities - Current and future |

Branch ActivitiesIn 2001, there was no one representing CGSNA in Canada (the Nova Scotia Society is not part of CGSNA). When asked to fill the vacant position of branch commissioner, we decided to make our modest contribution by representing CGSNA at some festivals within a reasonable distance of home. Our first experience was the rather small and now defunct Prince Edward County Highland Games in Picton, Ontario. We enjoyed this, so we followed up with the Montreal Highland Games, and the Glengarry Highland Games in Maxville, Ontario. |

During this time, we discovered other small but interesting Scottish events in Quebec and Ontario. We then added other destinations such as the festivals in Riviere du Loup (2 hours east of Quebec City) and Gould (a small community in the Eastern Townships). We also started going further west to Brockville, Cobourg, Port Hope, Fergus, Almonte and we continue to seek events in other parts of our territory. We would like to extend an invitation to anyone who might like to contribute their time and energy representing CGSNA at events. Or, if you are already active in your local Scottish community, you might like to officially represent your clan. If this interests you, please contact us. |
